What does an automation audit actually include?

“Audit” is one of those words that can mean anything from a sales call in disguise to a 40-page PDF nobody reads. Here’s exactly what ours includes, so you can judge whether it’s worth your time — or hold any other provider’s version to the same standard.

What happens during the audit itself?

It starts with a working session, not a questionnaire. We walk through how work actually moves in your business: where inquiries come from, who touches them, what gets typed twice, what waits overnight, and where things quietly fall through. You talk, we map. Owners are usually surprised by how much of the session is them saying “oh, and there’s this other thing we do manually” — that’s the point.

What’s in the written roadmap?

You leave with a document, not a memory of a good conversation. It covers three things:

  1. Your top 3 revenue leaks — the specific places you’re losing money to slow follow-up, missed inquiries, or manual work, ranked by impact.
  2. The monthly cost of each leak — real dollar estimates from your own numbers (job value, inquiry volume, response times), not industry averages.
  3. A prioritized build plan — what to automate first, second, and third, with the reasoning, whether or not you build any of it with us.

Is the audit just a pitch for a build?

No — and the structure keeps us honest. The audit is a paid engagement with a deliverable that stands on its own; you can take the roadmap to your own developer, another agency, or your own team and lose nothing. The fee credits 100% toward any build you start with us within 30 days, which means we only benefit when the roadmap is good enough that you want us to execute it.

What do you need to prepare?

Almost nothing — that’s deliberate. Have rough numbers in your head for average job value, how many inquiries you get a month, and how many you suspect you lose. If you use a CRM, calendar tool, or shared inbox, know which ones. We handle the rest in the session.

How do you know if you’re ready for one?

If you can name one process that eats hours every week, or you know leads go quiet before anyone follows up, you’re ready. If you’re not sure, that’s what the free 30-minute intro call is for — we’ll tell you honestly whether an audit would pay for itself, and it costs you nothing to ask. Book the intro call.
